InboxDollars Overview

InboxDollars pays it’s members for completing offers, doing surveys, watching videos, playing games, reading emails, searching, redeeming coupons, referring friends, and more. It is not a scam, it is a legitimate company and they do pay you. In my review for InboxDollars, I will go into detail about how it works, and how much money you can make.

How It Works

It’s free to sign up for InboxDollars with your email address. You’ll get a confirmation email to activate your account and then you’re a member. They will give you a $5.00 bonus in your account just for signing up. When you reach $30.00, you can request a payment for a check in the mail. They will give you an option of waiving the $3.00 processing fee if you earn $10.00 more within the next month. Otherwise, you pay the $3.00 processing fee but when you cash out, they will give you a $3.00 bonus in your account to get you started towards your next payment.

Completing Offers:completing offers

There are free offers, trial offers, and some you need to make a purchase in order to earn money. The pay ranges from approximately $.15 – $15.00 for each offer.

Some of the free offers include earning $.50 to try samples or they’ll pay you up to $1.50 to get free magazines sent to you, which is pretty cool. There’s also ones like earn $1.00 to sign up for a sweepstakes, $2.00 to join a survey group, $2.00 to receive insurance quotes, and a whole lot more.

Watch out for the trial offers because, if you’re generally not interested in the product and you keep on canceling the trials after you get paid, InboxDollars will eventually give you a warning and if you keep doing it they’ll terminate your account. If you really don’t like the product after trying it, you need to cancel it before the trial runs out, or you will end up getting charged for it.

Some of the other offers are good if you want to purchase products. Example: If you buy something from Personal Creations, you’ll get $4.50 credited to your account for your first order.

Right now there’s 132 offers in the Offers section.

Surveyssurveys

You can earn $.12 up to $5.00 or more for doing a survey. First you have to qualify for the survey. They look for a certain group of people for some of the surveys and a different variety of people for some of the surveys and if they’ve filled their quota for that survey, you won’t qualify for it.

Watching Videos

You will get $.01 or $.02 for watching a short video of an ad or a movie preview.

Playing Games

I’m not into playing games so I’m not sure how much you get paid but, if you like playing games, why not make a little extra cash.

Reading Emailsreading emails

They will send you emails to read or you can go directly to the InboxDollars site to read them. They pay you $.02 each, which believe it or not, adds up after a while.

Search

InboxDollars has a search engine. You will earn $.01 on each of the first 5 searches of the day and $.01 for every 2 searches after that up to $.15 per day.

Redeeming Coupons

You will receive $.10 for each coupon you redeem. Your account gets credited $1.00 for every 10 coupons redeemed. The bar code on the coupon will track back to your account if redeemed by the merchant.

Referring Friends

There is a referral incentive at InboxDollars. They will pay you 10% of your referrals qualified earnings. Qualified earnings are completing offers, taking surveys (other than profile surveys), cash games, shopping online, Groupon, cash tasks, and redeeming coupons.

Pros:pros of inboxdollars

  • Easy way to make a little extra cash
  • Free to join
  • Referral program
  • $5.00 signup bonus
  • Legitimate company
  • Extensive FAQ section
  • Live chat help
  • Email support system

Cons:

  • Some of the surveys are hard to qualify for and they ask you a lot of questions to determine this and then they will say you’re not qualified.
  • It takes a while to get $30.00 accumulated for a check.
  • After you finally get the $30.00 in your account, they charge you a $3.00 processing fee. They give it back to you as a bonus credit towards your next payment but it still hurts. (that’s a lot of emails to read at $.02 per email).
  • You really need to keep track of the offers you do and save proof you did them because occasionally they will make a mistake. Then you have to send them screenshots to prove that you did the offer.

InboxDollars Final Opinion/Verdict

If you want to earn a few extra dollars, it’s a legitimate, scam free site. You won’t get rich with InboxDollars and it is time consuming for the amount of money you’ll make but you will get paid. It’s free to join so you can always try it and make your own decision. If you would like to join, click on the banner below.

There is a very similar almost exactly the same site called SendEarnings. I do both of them. If you’d like to join SendEarnings, click on the banner below.

  1. Hello,
I have been very interested in Inboxdollars since about the New Year. Did you happen to come across a forum, group chat, or anything that organizes people that frequent the site?

    1. Hi Travis,
No, I don’t know of a forum. I make a check every now and then from them. It takes a while to accumulate since they pay a little for emails, offers, surveys, etc. I encourage you to take a further look since it doesn’t cost anything to join: InboxDollars

  2. Hello, I just read your review on Inboxdollars, I had never heard of it before. Sounds like a great way to earn a LITTLE money while doing stuff you usually do every day. I am not a gamer either, but I am curious on the amount you can earn. How long have they been in business? Sounds like it operates much like the other survey sites that pay cents for tasks. Great review, I have learned all of the ins and outs of Inboxdollars!
    With Kind Regards,
    Linda

    1. Hi Linda,
InboxDollars was founded in the year 2000. It does operate much like other survey and pay cents sights but I think it’s one of the better ones. That’s why I still use them to earn a few dollars every now and then. I looked into how much you can earn on the games and here is what I found. Your InboxDollars account gets credited 18% of the money you spend on tokens when you join GSN Games and only first time members to join GSN are eligible for this. Once your a member of GSN Games you can earn tokens (used for playing), oodles (used for auctions and sweepstakes) and cash (for upgraded members in tournament betting). To become an upgraded member at GSN, you need to earn a lot of points. I would say, if you’re going to be playing the games anyway, it would be good, but if not, it doesn’t make too much sense.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
      Sincerely,
      Gina

  3. It seems like you have checked that program and got benefit from it. I will definitely try it if you are giving a positive verdict. Though I have not heard about Inbox Dollars. Can you please tell me what is the mode of payment?

    1. Hi Arooj,
Yes, I have tried InboxDollars and I still use them and get a check every now and then. Their method of payment is a check in the mail. It takes a little while to make the money though and you won’t get rich with it but you will get paid and it’s legit. Thank you for stopping by to read my review.
      All the best to you,
      Gina

  4. I have messed around a little bit in the past with Inbox Dollars and your right it is legit but your definitely not going to be quitting your job. Great job at covering every aspect of it. There are a lot of different ways to earn a little cash

    1. Hi Nate,
Yes, I would not recommend anyone quit their job for InboxDollars. You will make a few extra dollars but you could not earn a living doing it. Thank you for stopping by to check it out.
      Wish you the best,
      Gina

  5. Wow!

This is a real interesting website, to be honest I have not seen anything like it before in the sense of getting paid for doing particular things like it high lights.
I think it’s great if you have a particular interest and would like to get paid some sort of fee for doing something you like doing anyway.

I can see a positive coming for all that gaming my son dose on the computer and all the times he asks for money and I tell him earn it your self even though he is 10 there is many ways he could do this, this being one of them.

    Very informative

    1. Hi Joey,
Yes it is interesting to earn a few extra dollars doing different little things like their offers, surveys, and reading email, etc. There’s a few sites around doing the same thing. I think InboxDollars.com and SendEarnings.com are about the best ones. Thank you for stopping by and checking it out!
      All the best,
      Gina
